D. D. Anton Managing Director of Dipra Engineers was presented two awards (National Bronze award for medium category and Provincial Bronze award for medium category for Western Province) at the recently concluded Sri Lankan entrepreneur of the year awards ceremony held at Ratmalana. The awards program was organized by Federations of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sri Lanka in association with its 57 member chambers and associations.

Dipra Engineers is leading local Material hoist manufactures since 1999 and diversified to many fields such as supply, installation and commissioning of Steam boilers, all types of passenger lifts, EOT cranes, hydraulic Lifters, dock levelers, Construction hoists, Dock yard Ship building shed travelers and Newly introduced Car parking systems to nations. So far more than 1500 units are operating in the country and overseas such as Bangladesh, Maldives and ISO 9001:2008 quality management certified company.

D. D. Anton said that these awards are returns and appreciation for hard work. "These awards make us aim higher and it also gives the company valuable exposure," he said.

The Awards has also been a pioneer in recognizing entrepreneurs who were not in the limelight.

A unique facet of the FCCISL Sri Lankan entrepreneur of the year award is its emphasis on recognizing regional business talent.

The national awards are the culmination of regional shows that recognize businesses in the Northern, North Central, North Western and Central, Western, North East, Uva and Sabaragamuwa Provinces.

Some of the newly introduced products include Dumbwaiters (Lift for hotel sector to handle food delivery to multiple story hotel) Home lifts - (Mini cost effective life for home users) Dock leveler (This device works by hydraulic system and the height difference between loading bay and trucks, container carriers could be able to bridge the gaps easily) Car Parking Solutions (A car parking system solutions for residents to restaurants, high rises and public car parking areas.

The company had also won the ISO 9001: 2008 quality management system, CNCI Achiever Award 2011 (Medium category national Level) FCCISL Western Province award entrepreneur of the year 2011 (Merit) and FCCISL Western Province award entrepreneur of the year 2009 (Merit)
